During the next XVIII General Assembly of Members, a Workshop, open to the public, will be held on February 24th, 2012 on the topic of: Management of Infertility Today.
The Workshop (program available here) will include a debriefing on the Study Group’s work on the management of infertility organized by the Pontifical Academy for Life.

Between April 25th and 28th, 2012, will be held the 3rd International Congress on the Responsible Stem Cell Research (RSCR) in the Aula Nuovo del Sinodo in the Vatican. The objective will be a debriefing on the art of using adult stem cells within the clinical and experimental fields, keeping in mind the respective ethical implications.

Father José Juan Garcia, Corresponding member of the Academy and Professor of Bioethics at the Catholic University of Cuyo (Argentina), informs us of the realization of the project of a Bioethics Encyclopedia online, carrying the values of the encyclical letter Evangelium Vitae of Pope John Paul II.
This Encyclopedia was born out of the need to provide students and teachers at Cuyo's University with an instrument of reference and study , that would be also available to public.

His Eminence Cardinal Elio Sgreccia was awarded the 1st International Award from national Scienza & Vita Association on the 21st of May, 2011.
The ceremony was held in the Congress Center of the Italian Episcopal Conference in Rome and was organized on the occasion of the IX National Meeting of the local Scienza & Vita Associations.
After the initial greeting of Prof. Lucio Romano, national co-president of the Association, the President of the Pontifical Academy for Life, H.E. Bishop Ignacio Carrasco de Paula, presented introductory remarks in honor of His Eminence Card. Elio Sgreccia entitled: “Bioetica personalista: una intuizione carica di futuro”.
